The seminar aims to reflect upon the methodological and/or conceptual challenges that sociological research on climate change at different societal scales poses (e.g. household, local, regional or national), and the ways in which researchers have innovated methodological tools and/or conceptual approaches to address these challenges.

A call for abstracts has been issued for the 18th Annual International Sustainable Development Research Conference, taking place on 24-26 June, 2012 at the University of Hull. The deadline for sending in contributions is 15 December, 2011.

The RC33 Eighth International Conference on Social Science Methodology will be at the University of Sydney, 9-13 July, 2012. The focus of the conference is on innovations and current best practice in all aspects of social science research methodology. One session will be on social simulation and modelling for public policy.
