The “Policy Meets Research” workshops offer practical assistance in evidence-based policy-making for sustainable consumption and an offline opportunity for networking. Each workshop will be a forum of intensive exchange among a selective group of invited experts. In each consumption domain – food, mobility, and housing – three sequential workshops will cover issues such as environmental hot spots, policy instruments and future scenarios. The first “Policy meets Research” workshop on Sustainable Food Consumption took place in Vienna on 21-22 October, 2010 at the Austrian Ministry for Environment; the second workshop took place on 27-28 January, 2011.
