CORPUS Workshop on Sustainable Mobility
The European Sustainable Development Network (ESDN) invites interested persons to the second workshop of the sustainable mobility series of the FP7-funded project CORPUS. The project CORPUS focuses on sustainable production and consumption (SCP) issues and addresses the policy-makers’ needs in the decision-making process. The project is closely affiliated to the ESDN and exchange with ESDN members is an important element of the project.
The "Policy meets research" Workshop on Sustainable Mobility II is the second in series of three within the domain of mobility. Each one will be a forum of intensive exchange, each with a different focus on sustainable mobility. The follow-up workshop is scheduled for April 2012 in Szentendre.
More specifically, the upcoming Workshop II will address policies, policy instruments and policy assessment for sustainable mobility. One session of the workshop will reflect upon the European Commission’s White Paper on Mobility. Another session will provide “flashlights” on policies and policy measures in the area of sustainable mobility, among them: marketing sustainable mobility; experiences with the Finnish CO2 tax; strategies for and experiences with the introduction of electro-mobility; and mobility management of Bremen, Germany.
The workshop will offer:
- learning from good sustainable mobility policy practices from other EU countries,
- knowledge sharing of how to promote sustainable mobility,
- a network opportunity with other European policy makers and researchers in sustainable mobility,
- learning of innovative forms and methods of effective knowledge management and exchange.
If you are interested in participating, please register until 10 September, 2011 on the ESCN website.
