Fourth International Faustmann Symposium - Forest Economics under Multiple Challenges

09/09/2012 The main objectives of the Fourth International Faustmann Symposium – Forest Economics under Multiple Challenges, wich will be held from 9 to 12 September, 2012, are to encourage both theoreticians and practitioners in the field of forest economics.
The topics of the symposium are:
- New theoretical developments of deterministic and stochastic even- and uneven-aged models for better understanding of the economics of forest resources management.
- Empirical and practical applications for optimal timber production at the stand, forest and regional levels, including studies on tropical forestry and agroforestry.
- Studies that integrate timber production with preferences for recreation, landscape aesthetics, biodiversity and other forest values, including economic studies on forestry and climate change.
- Multidisciplinary ecological-economic approaches for understanding forest policy and management and new developments in the forest sector.
