The Copenhagen Biofuels Research Network is calling for papers for the 2012 international conference on "Governing Sustainable Biofuels: Markets, Certification, and Technology". 

Papers are welcomed in particular related to one of the following areas: 

1. Effects of standards and sustainability certifications on the biofuel industry in particular in the context of wider governance and regulation processes at national, regional and international levels (including the WTO).
2. Impacts of existing investments on trade flows, on the structure of regional and global biofuels industries, as well as on food security, land use, water resources and rural livelihoods.
3. Impact of discourses and imaginaries on biofuel innovation, technology development and scaling-up on strategic choices, policies and practices with respect to both first- and next generation biofuels.
