The GIN2012 conference “Support your future today! Turning environmental challenges into business opportunities” is exploring links between industry, society and knowledge institutes as ‘Triple Helix' sustainability drivers for rethinking a green economy with clean technology, renewable resources and energy, low carbon emissions and bio-fuels. The main headings are Sustainable Industry, Triple Helix (co-evolutionary rethinking for sustainable regions) and Renewable resources, energy, bio-fuels.

The conference will be combining plenary sessions and workshop presentations/dialogues with information and knowledge sharing between stakeholders in the county of Östergötland and the conference participants. The county is known for its “Triple Helix” basis for innovative SMEs and bio-fuel production synergies. Sweden is strongly focused on clean technology innovation processes and the application of renewable energy. The title of the GIN 2012 conference reflects the approach.
