In the Institute for Advanced Sustainability Studies e.V. (IASS) a crosscutting research theme on Ocean Governance is being developed. In this context a position on 'Ocean Governance' is available for 2 years.

The Institute for Advanced Sustainability Studies e.V. (IASS) is an international, interdisciplinary centre of excellence located in Potsdam, financed by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research and the Federal State of Brandenburg, devoted to promoting science and research for global sustainability, particularly in the areas of climate change, the earth system and social pathways to sustainability.

Applications are invited from researchers with a PhD in political science, law of the sea or marine science. In cases of exceptional qualification also applicants without PhD will be considered. Experience in marine environmental management and international negotiations will be an advantage. Candidates should be fluent in written and spoken English.
