LIAISE has become one of the participating organisations of the 8th Sustainability Forum "Partners for the Year of Science 2012", organised by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).

The theme of the Year of Science 2012 in Germany is “Earth: A Project for the Future”. The aim is to encourage the development of innovative technologies, to deliver a basis for decision-making and to prepare society for future changes.

The Year of Science 2012 shall identify interrelations and give concrete proposals and advice for sustainable action. Institutions and organisations from science, economy and society are encouraged to help design the Year of Science. Partners of the Year of Science can present their activities to the public and make their research on sustainable development more visible.
