The EC funded EU-IndiaGrid2 project - "Sustainable e-infrastructures across Europe and India" - and the EU-IndiaGrid e-Infrastructure have successfully supported a set of applications which, in the last two years, have impacted on usage of the Grid service in the domains of High-Energy Physics, Biology, Material Science, Earth and Atmospheric Science. Recently, new research opportunities have been explored for Euro-Indian cooperation in fields such as  Neuroscience and Seismology.

E-Science 2011 is timed perfectly for the project to highlight these achievements and results as the project comes to a close. This workshop will give an overview of perspectives and use cases from the various current user communities; an update on the current situation and capabilities of the EU-India Grid, including an examination of interoperability challenges faced by the project; a look forward at the future sustainability of the EU-India Grid.
