New FAO Website "Sustainable Pathways" Launched

Sustainable Pathways Recently, the new website 'Sustainable Pathways' has been released by the FAO Natural Resources Management and Environment Department.
The major objective of the website is to host projects looking at some aspects of sustainability, such as:
- The definition and measurement of sustainability in the food and agriculture sector, e.g. see the SAFA project and e-Forum;
- The capability of organic livestock systems to meet consumption demands sustainably, in a scenario of high energy prices, e.g. SOL project;
- Most effective ways to reward producers for environmental stewardship, e.g. see the PES project;
- Determination and reduction of the environmental footprint of the food loss and waste, see e.g. FWF project and database;
- Determination of agriculture, forestry and fisheries issues in the global move towards a green economy, e.g. GEA project.
Further, the website features relevant FAO publications and partnerships, as well as a list of interesting meetings.
