Pre-Conference Methods Course at Interpretive Policy Analysis Conference 2012

Date:
04/07/2012

For the second time, the Interpretive Policy Analysis Conference (IPA) conference will offer a day-long pre-conference course  to introduce participants to interpretive policy analysis.
The morning plenary session will provide an overview of interpretive methodological issues. In the afternoon, participants can choose one of three, more 'how-to', parallel sessions: designing interpretive research projects, varieties of discourse analysis, and policy ethnography/participant observation. The afternoon sessions are intended to be more discussion than lecture, where participants are invited to bring their questions to the discussion. It is not designed, however, for participants to present their work (for that, see the Methodology Workshops in the regular conference program – it is no longer possible to propose for that).
