The task is to lead and develop economic research in SYKE. The focus is on economic research and evaluation in relation to climate change policies and measures concerning mitigation and adaptation. It also involves dissemination of results to support policy development.

A successful candidate will have a PhD with a strong emphasis on economic research. The candidate should have experience in planning and leading research projects, skills in cooperation and communication, a record of successful applications for external research funding as well as international publications. Excellent command of written and spoken English is required. Experience in developing and applying economic models, participation in international research projects and multi- and interdisciplinary publications are considered as additional merits. Command of Finnish and Swedish would also be advantageous but is not compulsory.
